The mural painting is completed, the furniture purchased / installed, the City’s 24/7 Live Animal Cam (click here!) is set up, and the cats are arriving. Now... it's time to celebrate! Our dream of creating a place for seniors and citizens to adopt animals and supporting our local animal shelter has become a reality.

Bill Alsup, Director of Health, City of Richardson, said: “Thank you for your gift and your patience. This will be a nice generator of public interest for our facility.”

Richardson Altrusans were joined by the Richardson Mayor and fellow Altrusan, Laura Maczka, along with four other council members, and the Richardson Director of Health, Bill Alsup, to unveil the new cat adoption room made possible by donations from the Altrusa Richardson Foundation.
