"The Altrusa scholarship has benefited me immensely, not just the financial support that has allowed me to focus on my classes and collegiate experience,
but also the emotional support from the ladies of Altrusa Richardson. I am so thankful to attend the University of Texas to study business and
I am so excited to see where my education takes me with the help of Altrusa!” — Elizabeth Chandler

Jo Leeper Scholarship
Josephine "Jo" Leeper began her Altrusa life in 1975 and was the longest-standing member of the current club. Jo's Altrusa sisters were her dear family and she is deeply missed. In her love of the organization and its members, she bequeathed a sum that allows us to grant scholarships for some time into the future. We lost her in 2021 at almost 90 years young.
