The Altrusa Wine and Chocolate Literary Society invites you to  a Passover Celebration.

On the last night of Passover, we wil meet for a special “Women’s Seder”. Even if you don’t regularly  attend our book club meetings, this one should be on your calendar! We will be celebrating a special modified Passover Seder dinner, during which the Passover story  is passed down from generation to generation. If you have ever wondered about how Passover is celebrated, here’s your opportunity to find out!

The word “seder” means “order” and the haggadah is the name of the “book” which is used to help us tell the story in the right “order”.   For our April book club selection, we will read a traditional Passover Haggaddah, which can be read straight through in about a half hour.  On the 21st, we will go through our own “Altrusa  Haggadah”,  and the seder meal. We will discuss Passover, the two different haggadahs and other facets of the seder. Please read the traditional haggadah prior to the dinner. (see attached haggadah below)

Reservations will be necessary. The cost will be $2 payable that evening, plus everyone will be asked to bring an item to contribute to the meal. Please click on the link below for the instructions for purchasing the items, and indicate what you will bring when you register. Contact Bobbi if you need directions to her house.
