Leadership Development Event & Board Meeting

Come one, come all to Friends Place on Thursday April 23rd at 6:00 pm for "Board Membership 2015” with Michelle Thames!  

What does it mean to be part of a Board of Directors?  What makes a good member?  How are boards supposed to function?  Former Richardson Assistant City Manager, Michelle Thames will share her expertise. In her 21-year tenure with the City, Michelle helped launch the Eisemann Center and oversaw the creation the city’s Communication Center. Michelle has served on various boards including Richardson Living magazine and the Warren Center, and has received numerous awards including our own OWT in 2006. 

This training will be especially helpful to old (current) and new (incoming) Altrusa Board Members, Committee Chairs, and interested members who would like to be more involved in the leadership of our wonderful club.  

The Leadership Development Committee is organizing this terrific event and even providing catered sandwich supper from Jimmy Johns.  

Please sign up so we have enough food.  Supper is at 6:00 pm; program from 6:30 – 8:00.  Brief BOD meeting to follow.
